We Love Getting Puppy Updates

One of the greatest joys of being a breeder is getting to fall in love with so many incredible dogs and puppies—whether they’re with us for years or just a few short months. Each one has their own unique personality and leaves a lasting impression. Saying goodbye is never easy, which is why it means so much to us when families who’ve adopted a Blue Kennel Frenchie—whether a puppy or a retiree—stay in touch.

We’re truly grateful to all of you who’ve shared updates and photos. Watching them grow and thrive brings us so much happiness. A heartfelt thank you to those who’ve taken the time to send testimonials—we appreciate your kind words more than you know. If you’d like to be featured on our page, we’d love to hear from you too!

Bringing home our little Frenchie, Olive, has been the greatest joy of our year. She has filled our home with laughter, cuddles, and an energy we never knew we were missing. Every morning starts with her snuggles and every evening ends with her snoozing on our laps. She’s amazing with the kids—gentle, playful, and incredibly patient. We can’t imagine life without her. Thank you for giving us this precious little soul!

I honestly didn’t know a dog could bring this much happiness into our lives. Our Frenchie, Milo, has completely transformed our home. He’s affectionate, smart, and unbelievably charming. Everyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He’s not just a pet—he’s family. I’m so grateful to have found such a loving and responsible breeder. Milo is everything we ever dreamed of and more.

Welcoming Bella into our home has been nothing short of magical. She is sweet, playful, and has the most heart-melting eyes. Bella has such a calming presence, and she’s made such a strong bond with our son, who has autism. Watching them together has brought tears to our eyes more than once. Thank you for bringing this incredible little companion into our world. We feel truly blessed.

Amanda & Jason T. / DC

I’ve had dogs before, but nothing compares to our experience with Duke. He has brought light and joy into a time that was otherwise very hard for us. His goofy personality, love for belly rubs, and loyalty have helped us heal from grief we didn’t know how to process. He’s truly one of a kind, and we’re so thankful to have him in our lives. Thank you for raising such an exceptional puppy.

Robert / Bronx NY

The day we picked up Luna was the day everything changed for the better. She’s playful, affectionate, and surprisingly intuitive. She knows when we need comfort and is always by our side. Our two daughters are obsessed with her, and even our cat has warmed up to her quicker than we expected. Luna has become the heart of our family—thank you for giving us the joy we didn’t know we needed.

Miller / Montreal

Charlie is the happiest little Frenchie with the biggest personality. He’s brought a new level of warmth to our home and keeps us smiling with his silly antics. From zoomies around the living room to curling up next to us on the couch, every moment with him feels special. He loves people, adores kids, and has already made a few puppy friends at the park. We’re forever grateful for this little love bug!

Shawn & Oscar

Apologies for the delayed update—this year has really flown by! Oscar is doing fantastic. He was neutered about three weeks ago and now weighs 28 pounds. He’s a big boy, all muscle and no extra weight.

I absolutely adore him—he’s full of personality and incredibly smart. He even carries his little bed around and sets it down wherever he feels like napping. Everywhere we go, people fall in love with him. The staff at our vet’s office are obsessed—they always ask me to leave him there for a bit so they can babysit when we visit!

I’ve attached some photos, and hopefully in a few months I’ll have enough saved up to put a deposit down on another pup. They really are like potato chips—impossible to have just one! This time, I think I’ll wait for a pied one.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! It’s amazing to think that April marked Cash’s (formerly Simon’s) second birthday. We often think of you and are so grateful to have him in our lives thanks to you.

I wanted to ask for your expert opinion on something—we’re considering adding a sibling for Cash and were curious about your thoughts. Do you find that Frenchies tend to do better with a companion? We give him lots of attention and playtime, but we can’t help wondering if he’d enjoy the company of another pup.

Looking forward to your insight!

Note: While Frenchies are very attached to their human families, they also tend to enjoy the company of fellow four-legged friends—especially when their humans are away.

Kim & Gus

We just wanted to share a quick update on Gus (formerly Thumper). He’s doing amazingly well, and honestly, we can’t imagine life without him anymore—it feels like he’s always been part of our family. He brings us joy every single day with his sweet personality.

Gus is incredibly social and loves being around both people and other dogs. He’s full of playful energy and often surprises us with how fast and agile he is, but he’s just as content to snuggle up and relax. At just over five months old, he’s already nearly 17 pounds!

We knew getting our first puppy would be special, but Gus has gone above and beyond everything we hoped for. We feel so fortunate to have him in our lives—thank you again for giving us such an amazing pup!

Kim & Gus / Florida

We realize we may be too late, but if Summer is still in need of a home, we would be absolutely thrilled to be considered. We were lucky enough to welcome Mortimer (formerly Panther) into our family last year—if we remember correctly, he was from Summer’s first litter on 9/16/16.

We never could have predicted the joy (and occasional chaos!) he would bring into our lives, but now we can’t imagine our home without him. He’s such a special little guy and has completely charmed everyone at our vet’s office—which is saying a lot, considering it’s a regional care facility that sees countless amazing dogs.

We hope you’re all doing well and will always be grateful for Ginny’s incredible holiday journey last year, delivering Mortimer to us on her way to the East Coast with Hillary and Trump.

Looking forward to keeping in touch!

Lynnett, Angus & Mortimer / Illinois

We are completely smitten with Ninny—she’s settled in beautifully and already feels like part of the family. She and our male Frenchie, Bandit, love playing together. He’s so gentle with her, and it’s incredible how instinctively he understands she’s just a baby.

Ninny is showing some boldness too—she confidently chases our hens around during feeding time (and of course, they scatter like chickens!). She’s already proving to be such a sweet little girl, and we know she’s going to bring so much happiness into our lives. In return, she’ll be showered with love and attention.

Terri and I couldn’t be happier with her—she’s everything we hoped for and more.

Wishing you all the very best!

James, Terri & Ninny / Santa Monica, CA

I just wanted to reach out and say how incredibly grateful we are for Rami—he’s truly worth his weight in gold. We brought him home in August 2015, and I honestly can’t imagine a better dog. You gave us such a gift.

Rami is going to be a big brother soon, with a little human on the way in late winter 2019. Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with some complications during the pregnancy, which have taken a real emotional toll—I’ve felt everything from anger and frustration to sadness and anxiety. Through it all, Rami has been my constant source of comfort.

Just last night, I pulled him close, and he gently licked my cheek, then rested his head next to mine and stayed there, still and quiet, until I moved. His presence has been truly healing, and I don’t know how I’d be getting through this without him.

Thank you for raising such incredible dogs. I feel beyond lucky to have him in my life.

Kayla & Rami / Vermont

Hi, this is Eric from Denver! We brought Bentley home last August and just wanted to check in. We’re absolutely thrilled with him and couldn’t be happier—that’s why we’d love to come back to you for a Black and Tan girl this time!

Please let me know what the next steps are—we’re ready to put down a deposit right away!

Eric & Bentley / Denver

JB (formerly Mac) is doing great—he’s such a wonderful pup! He sleeps through the night, lets us know when he needs to go out by scratching at the back door, and he’s already learned sit, stay, and come. He absolutely adores the boys, and we couldn’t be happier with him!

Kevin & JB / Philadelphia

Happy holidays from our family to yours! We wanted to share a photo collage of Diego (formerly Tony), who just turned one year old. The photo on the left was taken this morning—he’s now a happy, sturdy little guy weighing in at 21 pounds. He’s usually pretty relaxed but definitely holds his own when playing with our 18-month-old Boxer. He’s a hit with everyone who meets him!

Erik / Virginia

Hi there! I’m not sure if you remember me—my name is Veronica. We brought home our beloved Archie (formerly Grady) from Blue Kennel in September 2024. I sent over some photos so you could see how much he’s grown. We truly adore him! He’s such a joyful presence in our home and always keeps us entertained. He’s been a perfect fit for our family and gets along wonderfully with our Boston Terrier, Mozart.

I’m reaching out now because we’d love to join the waiting list for another Frenchie—this time we’re hoping for a female. We really like Archie’s coloring, so we’re interested in either a red fawn or blue fawn girl. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, and I hope you and your family are doing well. Stay safe and take care!

Mark Jance / Texas

Just wanted to share a quick update on Dr. Dre—now known as Gus! He’s doing amazing and settling in beautifully. He’s been having a blast with all his new toys and is doing his best to win over his new feline brother, Weston. Gus is an absolute cuddle bug and always wants to be part of whatever we’re doing.

He has a vet visit scheduled for the 28th, where he’ll receive his remaining vaccinations and a full check-up. We truly can’t thank you enough for bringing this little guy into our lives—he already feels like he’s always been part of the family. We’ve included some pictures so you can see just how well he’s doing!

Elizabeth, Dustin & Gus / Hawaii

Lisa and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for our beautiful baby girl. Izzy has been such a smart, affectionate addition to our lives, and she’s brought us endless happiness. Her sweet nature shines through every day, and she’s definitely a lap dog through and through!

She gets along wonderfully with her furry siblings—Mowgli, our Shih Tzu, and Samson, our Chihuahua. Izzy just turned one, so we’re sharing a few recent photos. When the time comes to add another pup to our family, we’ll absolutely return to Blue Kennel Frenchies.

Thank you again for everything you do—your dogs are truly stunning!

Cheryl, Lisa & Izzy / Kentucky

Bradley (now known as Bruce) from Bryn and Samson’s litter. Does he look like his daddy or what???

“Thank you! Look at my lap babies.  Just what I wanted!”

Mr. Chow (formerly Braven) has been a busy boy. He has been well trained and loves group classes. And he did some Lure Coursing when we worked at Canine Camp Getaway in Lake George.

Yoshi is and is doing absolutely amazing! He’s so full of energy, loves running around and being outside, he loves his walks around the neighborhood and is just such a lover

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Frenchie. He is everything we wanted and more!!! Yoshi is already fully potty trained and is such a good boy. He’s been everywhere with us this summer!

Ophelia (formerly Reagan) enjoying her first time at the beach and her new best friend!

Ophelia hardly bigger than her little stuffed pig!

“So we get ambushed every where we go:) people crowd around her, take her picture, she literally has stopped traffic 3 times – people almost have driven off the road due to the cuteness factor! Lol”

Ophelia’s New Family / Michigan

Hi Donna/ Lacey, I just wanted to let you know that Dexter has made me the happiest girl in the world! Today was the first day he had no potty accidents in the house and he sat on command. I can’t believe how smart he is! My bull mastiff Titan is slowly warming up to lil-Dex. It is so fun to watch them and all my neighbors are in love!

Here are some fun photos of the last couple weeks….

Happy Halloween!
